The Miracle Series | Georgina Starr | 2005 - 2008
A series of pencil drawn portraits accompanied by handwritten narratives and Mexican votive paintings (created from Starr's personal stories and especially commissioned for the project by retablo artists in Mexico City). The works were created after Starr experienced symptoms of 'The Stendhal Syndrome' while looking at a portrait by the artist Eugen Zeller in Zurich in 2005.
